East India has a very hot, tropical climate with cool winters and very hot summers. Just like the rest of India it also has a monsoon season.

There are many languages spoken in East India but a majority of the residents speak Bengali. Eastern India has many beaches, religious temples. Assam is an area that visited by tourist for its green landscaping and for its beautiful flowing rivers. This region is also well know for tea as well as its wildlife.

The beaches of West Bengal and Gopalpur are visited for the showcase of the beauty of the bodies of water. Cruise like tours of Gopalpur are available to tourists to enjoy.

Wildlife sanctuaries in East India boast very rare animals. Many species in danger of extinction reside in this part of India. A famous wildlife sanctuary in Eastern India is Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary located along the Bhramputra River.

Honeymoon tours are available in many areas of East India. Newlyweds can visit Manas, Darjeeling, Khaziranga and Gopalpur to enjoy the ocean views and the lovely landscapes nature has to offer.

The Eastern Indian is diverse in languages. There are at least 15 different languages spoken in this area. The region is very rich in art, sculptures and paintings.
